So Why Develop Personal Branding?
When you are putting together a home business plan you must consider having at least two or three strategies for developing leads. The first could be considered a NOW PLAN, where you can have leads to call today or put through your system this week.
The second strategy is what the home business industry calls personal branding or a longer-term plan. You must develop personal branding. The latter strategy is the cheapest way of improving your lead generation. It will be totally free or with very little cost. This definitely is an area for cultivation, as most businesses fail because of lack of funds.
So if you can keep the costs down to the bare minimum and still be highly effective in the marketplace, then I believe you have found the golden goose, my friend. Personal branding means becoming an authority figure in your particular niche. You know someone who is respected, trusted and accepted as an expert in their chosen field.
In other words a person who can help you become a professional and at the very least point you in the right direction. Start right now. There are certain principles that you will have to master in order to command such authority in the home business industry.
These principles will be what basically what attracts people to you. But before we get into those let me ask you a question. “Have you started to brand yourself yet?” If not, then why not? There is only now, tomorrow never comes, so get it going today. Why is personal branding so important?
Your success in this industry will be in direct proportion to the number of people who know you, know your name and the effect that you have had on them. If someone sees or hears your name, they must know who you are immediately and associate extreme value with it.
The income you receive will also be the direct proportion to the number of people on your list who listen to and follow you. To them, you are a very credible source of vital information that they want to acquire. Do most people develop personal branding?
From what I have seen I would say the majority of network and internet marketers do not go down this route. There are many reasons for this. They feel that there is too much work involved. They lack professionalism and are not prepared to do what is required to be successful. They also do not know where to start, have little or no skill and will not want to learn or adopt the correct mindset.
So what are people looking for when they see your brand?

* A winners mindset,
* Fantastic knowledge (your),
* A continuous learning platform,
* True persistent consistency,
* A respected and trusted source,
* Excellent original content,
* Plain honesty,
* Integrity beyond question
* and above all else plan Uniqueness
How do I get started building my own brand? Spend some time finding something that you are passionate about and start to write short blog posts/entries on it. Get used to writing every day and then increase the amount that you write. Increase the number of words so that they can be used in an article etc. Take one bite at a time and before you know it you will have written many articles.
I waited three long years before I started because I did not believe that I could do it. As I wrote more I actually started to find the whole process quite simple. But, at first, I had a large mental block which stopped me initially.
My personal advice is to just get going as soon as you physically can, do not wait another moment. Remember any journey starts with the first step, so make or take that first step.
