Is Persistence The Essential Factor In Success?
There are some dangerous enemies that stand between you and achievement. Most of these enemies are massive weaknesses that require you to overcome them as quick as you can. However, this may be a lifelong challenge for you to overcome them. So is persistence the essential factor in success?
What are these enemies or obstacles? As ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill dedicates a whole chapter to these challenges. They are in the area of persistence. Persistence is one of those areas of personal development that you will need to understand fully on your particular journey of self-discovery.
You will need to have courage as you move forward on your quest. Firstly to admit to yourself the true place that you find yourself in at this present moment, in regards to how you persist in a task. Ask yourself this question, ‘Do I lack persistence?’ This is a personal question that you will need to address quickly and be thoroughly truthful whilst peering in the mirror.
‘Do you want to know what type of person you are and what your capabilities are? I hope that you answered, ‘Yes’ to both questions. So let us delve into the subject of persistence and using ‘Think and Grow Rich’ as our guide, we will look at the ‘symptoms of lack of persistence’ and I will attempt to place my thoughts on this subject in writing.
Now, Napoleon Hill laid out, in his book, sixteen weaknesses that would need to be addressed if people wished to accumulate wealth in their lives. I will cover these in subsequent blog entries and expand on each one. From my experience in the police as a detective and in the home business industry as a network marketer.
I can say that persistence is probably in the top three core skills that you will want to work at in a very big way. There is absolutely no substitute for attaining the art of persistence, because when everything else is in place, it will be your massive action plan persistently applied that will determine your bank balance.
