You Are Dead refers To The Your Activity or lack of activity in your business.
The full heading should read, “If there are no ups and downs in your life, it means you are dead.” I think it means that we all go through the good times and the bad times.
Life would appear quite boring if everything was a bowl of cherries. Life would become repetitive and tedious if there were no rises and falls. If predictability became the norm or the order of the day, people would start to yawn and fall asleep.
It is much better to be spontaneous and innovative on occasions and create some excitement. Life should be a collection of certainty and uncertainty. We all have to take the rough with the smooth.
The low times are when we find out exactly who we are and what we are made of. The high times should be celebrated, enjoyed and welcomed. Both the high and low times should be expected and understood.
We need to be able to handle both the nicely memorable events and those dark times when all seems lost.
Winning And Losing Make Up The Full Circle
In sports, business and other adventures, we must be equipped go through turmoil and the inevitable defeats and losses, to be able to improve, grow and progress. Then the wins, successes and achievements will mean so much more when they happen.
The joy of winning is unbelievable, but it must be tempered by the sorrow of losing on occasions. Even the very best will lose on occasions and that is really okay and a part of life’s rich tapestry and pattern.
Celebrate All Wins Regardless Of Their Size
All wins are vitally important to you and your journey. It doesn’t matter whether they are big or small, your first win or your last. They are all of equal significance or importance and each individual one plays a major part in the whole game.
Toasting a good performance or a fantastic result is the right way to go, but make sure that the reward is in alignment with the goal achieved. In other words, if you have a small success, I wouldn’t book a world trip.
By all means celebrate, but get right back on track very quickly, so you don’t goof off for long periods of time and let your business fall by the wayside.
When I mentioned previously, “It means your dead.” I was referring to life in general. Expect some reverse or defeat occasionally. If we didn’t have any challenge we would be flatlining, wouldn’t we?
There will be serious blows, tremendous disappointments, upsets, and misfortunes, but I promise you that there will be more nice surprises, major triumphs, great results and outstanding successes just around the corner if you fight for your business and persist.
To Your Success
It means you are dead.
