You know, sometimes in life we have to take stock of exactly where we are in life and take a long hard look at ourselves in the mirror, don't we? Well, most of us should do this at various times, if only to get ourselves back on track.
That long hard look may well give us some breathing space and the time to analyse how things actually are for us and not necessarily how we see them, because there is always more than one truth.
You must always tell it like it is and leave nothing out or to chance, when seeking the exact position of your business. You will want to know and find out what has been working previously for you and praise yourself for those small successes. But you also need to understand what has not been working, so you can learn from your experiences and move on to finding ways to improve things.
You should never attack yourself for your results in the past, regardless of how badly you think that you have done previously.
Any review session of your business must be brutally honest in it's structure, but always remaining upbeat and positive. It will always be about surging forward towards success by including a tremendous amount of flexibility in your new plan, so that you can roll with the punches, if things go haywire in the meantime.

YES you must have confidence, the right attitude, a good self image and have the mindset of a winner, but you must also become a professional in all areas of your business and simplicity is one of those areas to work on constantly.
Now the only way that you will improve and end up where you want to be is by taking a long hard look in the mirror at yourself and asking yourself some searching questions or spending time with a person who is going to tell it like it is and then you planning your way to success.
Now I come at this from the position of a single person, but that other person to sit down with may well be your significant other, wife, husband, boyfriend or girlfriend, as long as you are both on the same page and level of thinking habits. But understand this my friends that at some stage you will be advised to take a long hard look and scrutinize your overall performance regularly, so you can gain the necessary momentum.
