Do You Surround Yourself With Supportive People?
Now, this is a very interesting subject for you and me, isn’t it? In my humble opinion, you must always surround yourself with supportive people.
Look, you and I are intelligent creatures and we both know that it is a vital element of our own personal emotional intelligence support system to spend time around the right people, as much as we can.
What does this mean then?
Do you spend any time around a person or group of people who gossip? Now, this has you thinking real hard, doesn’t it?
I bet there are times when you have found yourself in the mix, gossiping about so and so. The key is what did you do? Did you tell them to stop or did you just walk away and excuse yourself? Or worse. Did you continue to the insidious conversation?
In the end, it is up to you. But, let me tell you what will happen over the long term if you continue with negative dialogue. Your life will go downhill gradually and spiral into a world of mess, simple as.
It takes 10 good things to eliminate one bad thing. Hey, these are not my figures, but they do seem to make sense. That alone should be enough to refrain from any negative self-talk and unworthy conversations with others.
You have to spend as much time as possible around those people who are like-minded and talk positively 99% of the time. We have to accept that we all let ourselves down occasionally and that is ok, we need to be reminded of the garbage that is all around us.
So if you want to become a millionaire take the time to talk to these people, normally they are very approachable.
As I write this I thought I had better practice what I preach. So I thought about who I had spoken to in the last week and I had spoken to three 7 figure earners from within my current business opportunity. I thought, not bad, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. You can never rest on your laurels, you are either going forwards or you are going backward. The status quo or staying even is stagnation, believe me.
So here are three things you can do now, today to set you on the right path:-
1. Stop listening to people who have consistently spoken negative words into your life.
2. Become totally accountable for your own self-behavior. No matter how despondent or depressed you feel, never share those feelings with others, but seek rather to share positive thoughts.
3. Surround yourself with others who are good at controlling their feelings. It is time to surround yourself with uplifting and positive people.
