What Is Your Confidence Level Today?
Is your confidence level high, medium or low? You have to be able to answer this question if you hope to be successful in your home business or the network marketing industry. A High level of confidence is a desirable trait to acquire.
If your confidence level is not where you want it to be, then you possibly need explore the reasons why it has either dropped or has not improved sufficiently. Now rather than accentuate the negative, let us examine three main areas where your business may need a big boost. Each suggestion will be very simple and easy to implement.
The first thing that we must realise is that the subject of building your confidence is a daily task. So what you need to do is take some simple steps every day to raise your confidence every day. Now you may not notice the change every day but over time you will reach heights that you did not think were possible.
This is the major area that you need to work on regularly and if you are taking care of your self growth, then you will probably be smiling from ear to ear, but if you have let it slide, then you most likely will be miserable most of the time.
Imagine for a moment that you need to start afresh, because things have got so bad. What you will need to do first is to take the day off and spend it just enjoying yourself, laughing, playing and having fun. The next day sit down and write some personal development goals that will propel you forward at an impressive rate.
Consider setting aside 30 minutes every day to improve your self development. As Jim Rohn says, ‘Miss a meal but do not miss your 30 minutes.’
Read something positive, inspirational, instructional and uplifting every day and make this a discipline, a definite habit, over a period of 30 days. I prefer reading, but you could add into the mix a great audio or video as well and it doesn’t matter what it is as long as you can relate to the material.
Now marketing is a massive subject in itself so I will pick one specific area, lead generation. You need to realise why you are marketing and set the goal accordingly. ‘I am marketing to generate leads for my network marketing business.’
So your first goal should be to generate 10 leads, nothing more. Write it down and set yourself a target of completing it in 7 days or less. So if you set the goal on the 31st January 2011, then the date that you put on the goal is February 7th 2011. This goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and has a timeline.
When you achieve your goal you will add this to your ever growing victory list and then you can refer to it all the time. So what you are doing here is proving to yourself that you can produce leads for your business and thereby improving your confidence levels.
This is the third area where you want to start building your confidence in yourself by becoming a leader. So, how do you begin to develop this important skillset?
Step up and take introductions on a team call, or speak for the first time on a call and ask a question or give an opinion. Pick something very simple and just do it. When you jump in and take action you will feel exhilarated and the second and subsequent times you will find it getting easier. Within a short space of time you will be a speaker on a call and you will laugh at those times when your confidence was extremely low.
Please remember that most of us have been there in the same position as you with confidence level at rock bottom and it is a subject that needs constant care and attention. Improving your self confidence is a critical area of life, because it will cost you dearly not to.
