Assume Full Responsibility: The Major Attributes Of Leadership:Part X
Willingness to assume full responsibility is one of the most important components of success. The great leader accepts the responsibility when something goes wrong. Too often you see top level managers, politicians and so-called leaders in all industries, try and deny or blame someone else. How refreshing it would be if someone actually said, ‘I accept full responsibility, period’
What happens is that on most occasions people will try to squirm or lie their way out of something. You cannot defend the inexcusable or the unjustifiable. When I was a police officer in court I was the person in charge in the eyes of the judge.
Although the mistake may have been made by a scientist, solicitor or expert I had to take full responsibility as the Crown’s representative. If I had said, ‘It isn’t my fault.’ I would have been slated by the judge.
So I opted for the sentence, ‘I accept full responsibility.’ I have to say this worked 99% of the time. If you are not making money in the network marketing industry there is only one person to look up and that is yourself in the mirror. You may want to take look at two things.
Firstly your mindset, are you the type of person that is attractive to the perspective team member and worth following.
Secondly take a look at your marketing and increase the quantity and quality.
Leadership is admitting you are wrong when the need arises and it is also a work in motion.
